Tengboche, a village in Khumjung in the Khumbu region. It lies in the north east part of Nepal. The village is rich in Buddhist monastery. Also, Tengboche monastery which is the largest gumba there. This region provides the wide view of the beautiful snowy peaks. The peaks like Everest, Lhotse, Tawache and many more can be seen from there.
The interesting fact about this village is the first man to climb Mount Everest Tenzing Norgay Sherpa was born here. This place is located at the junction place of Dudh Kosi and Imja rivers. It lies near the Tibet boarder. We can see the sherpas living there who migrated from Tibet. This place is the common and famous night stay place among trekkers after Namche. The nearest airport is Lukla which connects to the Kathmandu valley. It is also the center place on the trek to the base camp for climbers of Mount Everest as well as other peaks. Since this place is cover by the Himalayas. The climate varies from mild to very cold and also depends upon the altitudes and aspects. Due to its low altitude there is less snowfall in this area. During winter season there is a freezing cold. It welcomes tourists every year in huge amount.
